Biography

Dr. Chadrhyn A. A. Pedraza

Dr. Chadrhyn A. A. Pedraza. is an Assistant Professor in the School of Teacher Preparation, Administration, and Leadership (TPAL) at New Mexico State University. She earned her BA in Psychology from the University of California, Los Angeles, her EdM in Risk and Prevention from the Harvard Graduate School of Education, and her PhD in Educational Leadership and Administration from New Mexico State University. Her research interests include promoting access to and equity in educational opportunities, researcher positionality, identity construction, the deconstruction of monoracialism, and the experiences of Asian and Asian Americans in higher education. Her recent publication I Just Want to Exist as Me: Reflexivity and Our Duoethnographic Journey to Understanding the Self as Asian American and Asian Critical Scholars places positionality and reflexivity at the forefront of critical research.
