Dr. Rebecca Campbell (she/her) is a Professor of Curriculum and Instruction, College of Education, New Mexico State University. She is committed to helping higher education fulfill the social justice promise of undergraduate education through effective pedagogies and student success practices.
Dr. Campbell earned a BS in Secondary Science Education at New Mexico State University and a BA in Chemistry, also at NMSU. After that she taught high school chemistry and physics in Houston, Texas. She pursued her graduate studies at Texas A&M University, earning a Master’s degree in Science Education and a doctorate in Educational Psychology with an emphasis in the learning sciences. Prior to coming back to NMSU, Dr. Campbell taught and served at Northern Arizona University for twenty five years. There she held academic administrative appointments as Department Chair, Associate Dean and Faculty Senate Grievance Chair. She remains affiliated with NAU as an Emeritus Professor of Educational Psychology and a President's Distinguished Teaching Fellow.
Dr. Campbell returned to NMSU in 2021 as the Associate Provost for Academic Administration, and has also served as Faculty in Residence for the William Conroy Honor's College and a Faculty Fellow for the Division of Student Success.
